Directed by Trish Hart with assistance from Greg Hart, its the story of the Von Trapp Family singers. This classic story will come to life on the Arts Theatre stage, from Saturday the 19th of July running until August 2nd.
The G&S Society, established in 1937, has a long standing history in the theatre community of Adelaide. Director Trish and assistant Greg are familiar with the story and music having played the roles of Maria and George in 2004. They will be joined by the talents of Heather Elliot as musical director, Celeste Barone as choreographer and a strong cast from the Adelaide theatre scene.
The Sound of Music is the story of a nun who leaves the convent to become a governess for the seven children of a wealthy, Austrian widower. She gains the father's love and opens the children up to the joy of music. It was such a popular movie, with the songs staying with the audience forever and it will be an amazing stage production. It's a show not to be missed and tickets will sell fast.
