Event:
Fill your belly and feed your soul
Pop Productions, who successfully orchestrated last month's Tacquito Taco Pop Up, is busy preparing for their next exciting event The Soul Food Pop Up.

So what is soul food? Soul food, believed to have originated in Africa, is common cuisine in the southern United States. A feast of flavours, it fills your belly and soothes your soul. Think jambalaya, baby back ribs, southern fried chicken, and pulled pork. Add some sides: black-eyed peas, bourbon-glazed sweet potatoes, buttermilk coleslaw, cornbread and gravy. Wash it down with American soda, iced tea, beer, wine, or mint juleps. And finish it all off with a piece of pecan pie, apple cobbler with ice-cream, or The Fat Elvis (a surprise dessert).

Rumour has it that a soulful singer will be serenading the crowd. Don't miss this chance to get some 'soul'. The Soul Food Pop Up will be setting up on Saturday, April 27 from 5pm at 95 Clyde Road in Kelvin Grove.

Follow Pop Productions on Facebook to see where they will be popping up next.
