Where the Food Comes From.
Boonara is a large cattle farm located on the banks of the Bremer River in the outstanding Scenic Rim region.
The Ship Inn bought the property in 2021 and since then the cattle have been raised respecting animal welfare and land conservation. The cattle are free to roam and graze, and trees have been planted to improve the soil and gradually return the land to a better state.
The chickens are farmed at Boonara Station and Friday Hut Farm at Bangalow, in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. The chickens can access fresh grass and water all the time.
In the Darling Downs, the Charollais is a relatively new breed of sheep in Australia, chosen for the production of superior quality meat.
Gooralie Farm aims to produce exceptional quality pork, free of growth hormones and antibiotics, delivering meat full of flavour and tenderness.
