I've recently moved to Wollongong and have been exploring the local outdoors in this new location.

The Shallows foreshore just south of Shellharbour Village is a scenic spot for a off leash walk with your dog.

Access is via Bass Point Tourist Road at Shellharbour, there are several carparks along the road that access the dog permitted area and dogs are allowed off leash at all times between the Shallows Coastal reserve and the gravel loader.

The dog walking area is grassy with plenty of space for throwing a ball or frisbee. There is a grassy path along the foreshore to the gravel loader. Bins are provided near each of the carparking areas making it easy to clean up after your dog.

There are also gas BBQ's and picnic tables in the foreshore park near the second carpark. The third carpark is popular with surfers as it is right at "The Shallows" gentle reef break and has a cold water beach shower.
