Remember what it was like to go to a live gig and hear a new local band for the first time and fall head over heals in love? The way it is when you hear a sound from an artist that no one's discovered yet and you covet them, like your own, waiting for them to hit the stratosphere!
Well, you can have that chance again,
every Friday in July and August, in fact, when
The Seed Project hits the Melbourne Street Green on Friday nights from 5:30pm.
The Seed Project sprouted from a collaboration between
QPAC and
Queensland Conservatorium Griffith Uni (QCGU) and brings talent from the Bachelor of Popluar Music programme to the stage in what can only be described as a "mini festival" every Friday night, what a way to wind down your week, and wind up your weekend!
This
Friday the 4th July features Australian born folk artist
She ,
Emily the gal who likes to play a ditty or two, and the easy going, acoustic
Jake Whittaker .
The Melbourne Street Green is the perfect venue for this sort of set up, wood fires, hot and cold bevies and a small
menu with nothing over $10 and to suit everyone's taste from chicken wings and sausages to white bean soup and grilled haloumi, delicious!
Get your funk on and support our local Brisbane artists, for their music and talent a far and way beyond any of that you may be watching on tele at the moment and live music is such a unique and inspiring way to get amongst new artists and for them to build their presence in the industry.
full list of line ups for every Friday night. Artists include the likes of
Bree De Rome, Brodie Graham Band, Electrik Lemonade, Tom Dodd and SHOOTY, Lady Grey, Maximo and many more, it's pretty damn exciting to be honest!
The Seed compilation album is available in iTunes, Spotify and Amazon.
