Playing at the upcoming 4Senses event
The Royal Artillery are a three-piece Brisbane band, who describe themselves as "heavy blues influenced stoner rock".

The Royal Artillery perform at Blues Rock Riot ... shirts optional

Performing in the upcoming 4Senses line-up, an event designed to share music with deaf people, I saw them play in the second Blues, Rock, Riot at X & Y Bar. Although The Royal Artillery have been gigging since 2009, this was the first opportunity I'd had to see them live. I'm not sure it was the best time to see them live though, being the last gig for their bass player Ben, and having Dane from Osaka Punch (previously known as Kidney Thieves). There was some technical difficulties with the bass pedals, or the amp, or the bass itself, which frustrated Ben, clearly a talented bass player, and overall their set looked like it was going to embody the "riot" from the event's title. In the end they kept it together, although I'm looking forward to seeing them again, without the gremlins in the system.

Like them on Facebook here, and check out their website here to find out more about their upcoming gigs.
