This show has well and truly passed the test of time. It's a fun, escapist show on steroids that invites you to dress up, dance and let loose. This brand new, Australian production celebrates the 50th anniversary of The Rocky Horror Show.

Jason Donovan (is the energetic lead character Frank N Furter) says it's about diversity, being an individual and true to yourself. But tonight I'm here to be entertained, to have a laugh, to get lost and reminisce. No one can deny that's exactly what happens at The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Labelled the sexiest show around… die-hard fans dress to impress. They are in the mood and they don't mind showing it. Within three beats of the introductory song the audience were jiggling in their seats and cheering in anticipation.

You'd have to have been living on another planet not to know anything about The Rocky Horror Show, so no more about the outrageous characters and storyline. I was amazed at how many of the songs I could join in with.

Tonight was the opening night, red carpet and all. We saw Patty Newton, Joel Creasey, and celebrities from Melbourne's Housewives and Neighbours. If it's good enough for them it's good enough for me.

There was some light, non-intrusive audience participation and lots of long chuckles. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised but I was very impressed by the singing voices. My partner couldn't stop raving about Jason Donavan. The person next to me was also very impressed.

The Rocky Horror Show%% is a very polished and professional production with dramatic, fanciful characters. The sound and light and well-timed choreography. The audience were eating out of their hands. At some points there was silence and others elongated laughing. In a few words, it was humorous and highly engaging.

Guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a skip in your walk. A must-see show.
