WeekendNotes Chief Editor / Chief Writer / PR & Communications.

Join facilitator Scott Phillips for a fascinating introductory 3D printing and 3D scanning workshop.

This regular series of interactive workshops will showcase everything you need to know about the new 3D printing technologies that are changing the world!

You'll get to see some 3D printing robots in action and learn how you can take an idea and turn it into an actual object.

Come along and see how easy it is for you to be involved; from toys to medical applications, architecture, chocolate and more robots, you'll see a diverse range of amazing 3D printing projects from around the world and learn how to access online repositories of printable 3D objects.

Scott will explain the various types of 3D printing techniques available, and you will have the exclusive opportunity to have yourself 3D body scanned.

If you choose the 'Admission plus 3D Print in Full Colour' ticket ($145.00) your 3D scan will be printed out as a full colour miniature figurine!

The workshops require no prior experience with 3D printing or advanced computer skills, and it's a great way to understand how 3D printing will change the way we make things.

    Hi Fiona,

The image of the dancing robot is an animated gif image, used with permission from the creator, Adafruit Industries ( I simply uploaded it when I submitted the details for the listing, just like the other images. Animated gif images will *generally* work in a browser (except not on FB, for example, which seems to deliberately block them).

    Kind regards,

    Scott Phillips
