Even if you live in Brisbane,
Redcliffe in the Moreton Bay Region is not far to travel to the beach or to any activities for the whole family. The town's name originates from Red Cliff Point and was named by Matthew Flinders when he was referring to the red cliffs at Woody Point. The beaches in Redcliffe are very popular for tourists and locals; the last time I visited a huge turtle swam by in front of me and my friend.
On Thursday 24th January 2019, the
Redcliffe Library will be the venue for
The Reel Thing Film Club's hosting of the movie Healing (2014) from 1.30 to 3.30pm. Rated M, the event is free. This will be a great movie to take the kids; however, if you cannot make this session, it will be run again on Friday 15 February at 6.00pm for the Friday Flicks Session. Other film titles are shown on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Redcliffe Library.
If attending this event, you will need to register through
#tickets ">
Eventbrite as soon as possible as there are only 38 seats still available.
The movie is about a jailed murderer who when he gets involved in the prison program for rehabilitating damaged birds of prey, forms a strong bond with an eagle. The movie features Hugo Weaving and Don Hany.
The Reel Thing Film Club hosts several international documentaries and independent films from Beamafilm, which is the video streaming service developed by filmmakers.
