Great shopping and good food meets the sea
If you find yourself wondering what to do on a beautiful sunny Sunday in Brisbane, then head to the Redcliffe Jetty Markets. Combining great food, good shopping and a wonderfully scenic location, these markets really do have something for every member of the family. With live entertainment setting the mood, you will want to spend the entire day strolling the many stalls filled with fresh locally made and grown produce, handcrafted gifts and amazing cuisines.

On any given Sunday you can find gems such as the fresh meat van, selling delicious wood smoked bacon. The Turkish bakery sells divine breads in all flavours. There's even a pet stall so you can bring home something special for your furry friend. A particular favourite of mine is the homemade ginger ale, perfect for quenching the thirst. Other stalls include fresh, locally grown produce (the strawberries are a great price), clothing, jewellery, gifts and gourmet foods.

Located right on a beautiful beach, Redcliffe is a must-see destination in itself. With golden sands, calm oceans and a beautiful jetty, Redcliffe has been a local favourite for years. As well as the markets, you can find an extensive range of restaurants and gift shops to stroll around. Just down the road is the family friendly Redcliffe Lagoon, great to cool off in after a hard days shopping.

The markets are located on the Redcliffe Foreshore, following Redcliffe Parade. The easiest access is via Anzac Avenue, and parking can be found on any surrounding street. They are free to visit and run every Sunday from 8am to 2pm. While the more serious shoppers arrive at 8am sharp to avoid missing out on their favourite bread or fresh produce, if you arrive after 12 the stall owners are often happy to bargain with you. The more they sell, the less they have to pack up at the end of the day. Some vendors even take pre-orders so you can make sure you don't miss out.
