Choosing a restaurant or café in Leura is an enviable task in this foodies paradise, but if you are after a hearty, tasty, fresh breakfast at any hour, the Red Door Café awaits you.

Leura is a local arts and crafts town near Katoomba and well known town for its boutique shops and cafés. Therefore it comes as no surprise that there are lots of great quaint cafes and restaurants to grab a feed.



Located in Leura Mall, the Red Door Café serves authentic and flavourful cuisine for breakfast and lunch.

Distinguished by a Red Door, the café is passionate about good food, creating seasonally based dishes and offering all day breakfast.



The cute yet compact café has a red, black and white interior, adding to its character. Dark wooden tables and chairs, contrast well with the bright walls which feature a quirky mix of Hindu paintings and other unusual art hanging from the walls.

The breakfast menu has a good selection of choices with gluten free options and large selection of vegetarian dishes, making it a good choice for even the fussiest of eaters.



On offer for breakfast are options such as Organic, Bircher Muesli, Freshly Baked Hominy Croissants, Pesto Mushrooms with Polenta and Parmesan, Omelettes, French Toast with Strawberries, and Bacon and Egg Baguettes to name a few.



The Poached Eggs, Grilled Haloumi and Rocket on Sourdough for $15.50, with a side of the Pest Mushrooms for $3.50 is top notch.

The Ham, Cheese and Tomato Omelette with Sourdough is also worthy of a mention.



The dishes are fresh, wholesome and delicious, and are well portioned to ensure you don't leave hungry.

The café is compact and busy, but well worth a visit if you can get a table.
