Part of the Kids Take Over Mini Fest at HOTA

HOTA's mini-festival for kids and young creatives returns this September as part of the annual WONDER program.

With a jam-packed program filled with workshops, DJ skool, goat yoga, gallery exhibitions, a quest across HOTA, a dinosaur or two, BBQ lunches and a free family fun-day, HOTA is your one-stop school holiday destination this spring.

A highlight of the upcoming program is The Quest!

The Quest invites keen explorers to search for the lost creature of the HOTA Lands! Collect your passports, put your thinking hat on and get ready to follow the clues!

This fun-filled adventure features 6 workshops and activities that you can complete with your family and friends. Best of all, you can start at any time, finish at any time or complete half the adventure on one day, and finish it off the next. Perfect if you're heading into the theatre to see the latest kids' play Erth's Prehistoric World.

The Quest journey includes:

The Dragons Cloak Room: All good explorers need to dress the part with their cardboard armour.

Kids Art Tour: A tour through HOTA Gallery, which ends with an activity to start your puppet.

Noise Street: A loud fun activity, using your voice to create the sounds of your very own mystical creature.

Kidstruments: Kidstruments are weird and wonderful instruments, designed by children.

Hands on Technology: 3D pens, conductive ink and augmented reality.

T-Rex puppets: Create your very own T-Rex cardboard hand puppet to bring to life.
