The Psychic is an award-winning play by celebrated American author and playwright Sam Bobrick which won the Mystery Writers of America's coveted 'Edgar Award' in 2011.
Known for his engrossing murder mysteries, Bobrick prides himself on leaving his audience with a smile '…my main goal is to entertain, to have people leaving the theatre feeling good.'
Directed by Erik Strauts, The Psychic perfectly blends classic murder mystery elements with modern comedy and is set to have Adelaide audiences in stitches this Winter!
The sign draws the interest of the lovely and conflicted Laura (Anita Pipprell), her shady husband, Roy (James Whitrow) and ace Detective Norris Coslow (Malcolm Walton). Is Adam actually psychic? Adam soon finds himself involved in a strange series of events that leads to a string of bizarre and hilarious murders. The question on everybody's mind is… who did it? Was it the gun-bearing gangster, Johnny Bubbles (James Black), or the sexy mistress, Rita Malone (Jessica McGaffin)?
Described as a '…laugh-filled unexpectedly entertaining ride that gratifies copiously from moment to moment' by Broadway World.Com, Bobrick's brilliant script is a murder mystery at its funniest - a play not to be missed!
The cast includes Josh Van't Padje, Anita Pipprell, James Black, James Whitrow, Jessica McGaffin and Malcolm Walton.
