With a million tickets sold in more than 50 countries and acclaimed reviews worldwide PIAF! The Show finally makes its Australian debut this May/June.

Touring nationwide, PIAF! The Show is a joyous musical celebration of the life and music of the legendary French chanteuse Edith Piaf. Conceived and directed by the Nice-based theatrical maverick Gil Marsalla and starring Nathalie Lermitte, a French performer hailed as 'Edith Piaf's legitimate musical heiress,' PIAF! The Show is an immersive visual and musical extravaganza that brings Piaf's timeless legacy to life on stage.

Divided into two 45-minute acts, we meet a youthful Edith Piaf, performed by the marvellous Nathalie Lermitte, as she sings in a cobbled square in Montmartre, accompanied by the sounds of an accordion. Piaf sings of her childhood and how she longed to spread her wings and fly away 'Like a Sparrow.' Despite her sad words, there’s a smile on her face.

Accompanied by pianist Philippe Villa, percussionist Nicolas Castagnola, accordist Frederic Viale and double bassist Pierre Marcus, we move to the terrace of a small Parisian cafe where Piaf reminisces of her first lovers and daydreams of those days of innocence.

Piaf's love of Paris shifts to a love of men and a tale of a tumultuous relationship in C'est un gars. In Elle fréquentait la rue Pigalle, Edith recounts the story of how cabaret owner Louis Leplee discovered her on the corner in the Pigalle area, with her sad pale face.

Act One closes with Piaf at the peak of her career but marked by personal sorrow with Padam... Padam... centring on memories of past relationships and love.

Act Two recreates one of Piaf's last memorable concerts in Carnegie Hall in 1957. Now with the band in tuxedos, an older Piaf laments on tales of love with the uplifting energy of Mon manège à moi and the sad goodbye of Les Feuilles mortes.

Piaf pleads to the heavens in Mon Dieu, begging for even one more day with her love and bares her soul in L’Hymne à l’amour promising to give up everything - as long as she can keep love at her side.

Piaf's signature songs Non, je ne regrette rien and La vie en rose conclude the extraordinary musical experience and have the whole audience singing along.

PIAF! The Show is a remarkable celebration of Piaf's legacy that is sure to delight francophiles and music lovers alike. Nathalie Lermitte's soaring vocals are impressive - she inhabits the spirit of Piaf and offers an authentic, passionate and charming performance. There are many highlights in the engaging show, which features renditions of some 20 classic songs. Standouts include a stunning accordion solo by Frederic Viale and Lermitte's costume change in Act 2.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the life, music and legacy of Edith Piaf! You are guaranteed to be swept away by the enchanting melodies and enamoured by the delightful Nathalie Lermitte and her talented band.

    About Nathalie Lermitte
Singing is certainly a true vocation for Nathalie Lermitte. Indeed, at the age of six, she started performing. The day she turned eighteen was also the day she released her first album Tu es tout ce que j'aime, two singles of which sold over 400,000 copies. In 1995 she opened for Michel Leeb at the Olympia with Herbert Leonard. At the same time, Nathalie Lermitte also recorded numerous theme songs for television series and cartoons.

1989 marked her first steps in musical comedy: she was hired to play the role of Cristal in Starmania, which she performed for three years at the Theatre Marigny in Paris and then on a national tour, ending in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. This was followed by a succession of roles in musicals in which she often played the role of Edith Piaf.

In 2018, she joined Piaf! The Show and has enjoyed worldwide success.
