A cafe opposite a train station has an infinite amount of potential. It makes you think about late nights, movies, sunny afternoons and romancing a curvy belle by the light of the sun.

Catch a train to Kensington. Enjoy the wet leaves of the trees that guard the railway line. See the colour of the pavement as soaks up the rain. Take in the smell of petricor. Anticipate the taste of The Premises.

The Premises was opened by Alex Anderson and Kate Holloway who are both ranked highly in the coffee scene - having worked at St. Ali, Seven Seeds , Brother Baba Budan , Liar Liar, The Pound and Fandango it goes without saying that they have the right kind of experience.

Homemade relishes. Homemade spreads. Homemade here at The Premises is synonymous with super quality. Wooden communal tables. Old classroom desks as tables. Super friendly and sexy staff who are extremely helpful and informative. If you're unsure what to order, ask for a recommendation and take.

Panama La Hacienda Esmeralda Geisha. Seven Seeds.
This pour over was $8.00. Some of you may say that is too much, but look at it like this, spending that much on premium pour over coffee is something you should try at least once. Pour over coffee can have tea and wine-like qualities, but it is not as intense as an espresso. The price tag is worth it, it is the best pour over coffee you will ever taste.

Very rarely does coffee get better or more interesting the longer it sits and the cooler it gets - pour over is the best example. The tastes develop, change and some mature. Before you know it, you're drinking something that is as light as water and as complex as a full bodied red wine.

First sip - When Warm.
Light candy, floral and orange blossom flavours. If you swish this in your mouth like wine, the edges of your tongue pick up some slight bitterness for a few seconds then it goes away, leaving you with an after image of an unforgettable geisha.

Every sip after.
It gets sweeter in an orange blossom kind of way.

I cannot stress how better pour over can taste if you treat it like wine. Furthermore, I cannot stress how good The Premises is.

Spanish potato and red pepper tortilla with goats cheese, rocket and organic toast.
This was extremely satisfying, tasty and envy inducing (I saw jealous faces on my neighbours at the communal table). The goat's cheese had the right kind of saltiness that it needed.

Catch a train from Kensington. Enjoy the drying leaves of the trees that wave to you. See the original colour of the pavement as the sun dries the rain. Close your eyes. Long for the taste of The Premises.
