Are you bored with your usual wine bar? Then try out a wine bar that moves each weekend, with a new view and a wide range of wines to try at each location. The Pop Inn by Wine Bar Co is Canberra's first mobile wine bar, which began in February 2017 and has captured the imagination of locals and visitors to the city. It will "pop up" in different locations around the city most weekends throughout the year, taking advantage of festivals and unique locations - some of which you wouldn't even think was possible to be allowed to set up at. When you track them down each weekend, you don't need to get out any cash from the ATM as the bar is conveniently card only. You just need to bring yourself, your credit card and of course your willingness to appreciate new wines, a variety of cheese platters and spectacular Canberra views. Really, does it get any better?

There is no need to worry that you are going to miss out on the next exciting venue, with the wine bar usually open at least two nights at each venue, over the same weekend. This gives the local grapevine time to spread the word that The Pop Inn by Wine Bar Co is at their local park or favourite venue - then watch the people come. They can also be seen at Canberra's foodie festivals such as Enlighten and The Forage , as well as other mystery locations throughout the year. The exciting part of this venture is to expect the unexpected. They are finding Canberra locations that are under-utilised and turning them into a special night on the town.

If you, or people in your group don't like wine, they also have beers and soft drinks available for non-wine drinkers. The Pop Inn by Wine Bar Co trailer itself is a unique design by DJAS Architects in Kingston, here in Canberra. The open design encourages the friendly staff at the bar to be able to communicate freely with their customers. It also "allows for a sense of theatre with the bar as the stage", according to the designers. Wine is a passionate subject, so there can be many conversations held about the niche wines on offer at the bar and what nibblies to enjoy them with - with olive and cheese platters available to purchase. If you don't know much about wines, they will be happy to offer suggestions on what to try, with some award-winning wines from boutique wineries included in their range.
