Horticultural Society would like to welcome you to "Wonderland" on Saturday 8th December 2018 on the St Kilda Foreshore!

This is the third time this event has been held and will be full of talented artists from all over. Organisers are touting the event as [i]"an inner-city Eden of audible, visual and edible delights"[/i]!



There will be more magic than last year and with feature artisan stalls, several music stages, incredible art installations and more.

[b]Food[/b]
Organisers have sampled the best kitchens and food trucks in Melbourne and will be bringing you a gastronomic feast for the senses. Gastronomy is actually the study of food and culture, plus the art of making and serving rich and appetising food.

This will be the case everyone will be catered for with a buffet of gourmet food from around the world. If you require vegan, vegetarian, meat or whatever, this will all be served here. There& #8205 ; will also be a good choice of cocktails and beers on offer, so you will be able to try many delights at The Pleasure Garden.

[b]Market Stalls[/b]
There will be a range of market stalls selling everything from festival fashion to souvenirs and much more!

[b]Ticket information[/b]& #8205 ;
is a family-friendly garden, however, all people attending must be over 18 years old unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. ID will need to be presented at the gate for entry to the grounds.

Costs will be - children under 6 years FREE (but you still need to order free ticket online)
Children from 7 to 12 years old - $49
Teen children, 15 to 17 years old - $82.65
Adults - $82.65

There will be ATMs onsite as well as Contactless Payments at all bars, some stalls and food vendors. It is however recommended you also bring cash.

[b]Artists Appearing[/b]
  • North East Party House - a group of 6 guys who have been touring Australia.



  • Sampa the Great - born in Botswana, this female poet and singer-songwriter expresses herself through music, poetry and visual art.

  • Katchafire - this New Zealand group play classic roots reggae with R'n'B and funk.

  • Spoonbill - known as Jim Moynihan, he has a natural ear for rhythm, sound and vibe.

  • Stickybuds - a Canadian who is attending this festival for the second year in a row.

  • Deekline - he is head of the London to Brighton, Hot Cakes collective of producers, promoters and DJs'. He is a bass music icon who recently released a new album.

  • Nora en Pure - is an indie dance music sensation and play electronic beats. She is a member of the Helvetic Nerds group.

  • Mad Professor - he slowly collected recording and mixing equipment before opening his own four-track recording studio, Ariwa Sounds, in his living room.

  • Haiku-Hands - With synchronised dance moves, Haiku Hands will play their eclectic set at the Garden this December.



  • Eva Lazarus - Eva has a stunning voice, big bass and big hair! Her music goes from Reggae to Hip Hop, DnB to Jungle and beyond.

  • JFB - this popular artist plays Jazz, Funk, Soul, Hip-hop, Dubstep, Glitch Hop, Electroswing, Ghetto Funk, Breakbeat, Drum and Bass.

  • Senegambian Jazz Band - they are influenced by Gambia, Senegal, Ethiopia, Ghana and Australia. They are a five-piece band playing ancient African musical traditions.



  • Jamie Stevens - Jamie has already won two ARIA awards, with band members of Australian live act, Infusion.

  • This is just the first crop of artists and about 25 more names will be released closer to the date.



    [b]Dressing Up[/b]
    This year's theme of "Welcome to Wonderland" will have a best dressed lifetime gardener award!& #8205 ;

    & #8205 ;If you join in the dress-up contest, you will have the chance of winning a lifetime ticket to The Pleasure Garden. Just enter the best-dressed contest, and if you do really well, you will have this lifetime award! You can register at the information tent when you arrive to enter this competition. There are FREE cocktails for the first 50 people through the gates in costume.

    [b]The Event[/b]
    The event will be held at Catani Gardens, in Jacka Avenue, St Kilda, from 12 pm to 10 pm.

    There will also be roving performers at the event and you can find out more at their website.
