For a country dining experience, you cannot beat, go to The Place 2 B at D'Aguilar. On your way west, towards Kilcoy, turn left at the D'Aguilar hotel. Just a short drive and you will find this gem on your right.

From their back deck, you can enjoy the delights of the countryside. The peaceful view over the dam will always enhance your visit. A variety of chooks, (you may even be lucky enough to see baby chicks too), and ducks are living in pet heaven. They have the full run of the backyard with its many nooks and crannies for them to scratch around in at their leisure. The Whistler ducks are a delight, especially when they take off together and run across the lawn to harass another group of Whistlers.

Outdoor dining

As you arrive, you will be warmly greeted by the delightful owners. They are always up for a quick chat. Their menu includes authentic Indian food made by their Indian chef. His meals are always well received by devotees. The rest of the menu is a great selection, from snacks to main meals. I have eaten here many times and I have never been disappointed. Their mango lassies are always a great treat to have after your main meal.

If it's not mealtime, pop in for coffee and cake. They always have a lovely selection of homemade cakes and slices. You have a choice of where you want to sit; outdoors, down near the dam, on the back deck or inside. Families with small children often choose to sit down under the trees, so the children can enjoy the chooks and ducks.

Air-conditioning has recently been installed. Something that will be well received by many, I'm sure. Inside they have a large dining table which is great for special functions. They are animal-friendly and suitable for wheelchairs.

Call 07 54964332 to make a booking. There is plenty of off-road parking space.
