If you like your coffee and great food, and you'd like fresh air and somewhere for the children to play where you can see them, why not visit
The Place 2 B. It's at Delaney's Creek – and I guess many readers will have no idea where that is.

Cafe Entrance
It is well worth the drive to find out. It is on Mt Mee Road, not far from the D'Aguilar Highway. Delaneys Creek and the oddly named Monkeybong Creek flow into the Stanley River which is a tributary of the Brisbane River. The town of Delaneys Creek has a population of fewer than 1000 people. So it is somewhat quiet and a pretty little spot to stop and enjoy nature. You can reach it via Caboolture/D'Aguilar Highway or via Samford

The Dam
The Place 2 B is quite a quirky spot. The café has indoor eating places, but the best spot is outside on the deck that overlooks the dam, which is currently quite full with wonderful waterlilies and great wildlife. In fact, there is a great family of ducks that love being fed – and for a 50 cent investment, you can buy food to give the ducks. It is quite amusing watching the ducks and hens from the deck.
Coffee, tea, and home made foods are delightful. There's quite a menu and on Friday nights they do a special with Indian food, which is available to takeaway.
Check out their menu
here.
They cater for those who want gluten-free food, it is pet friendly, and there's easy access for folk in wheelchairs.

Feed the Ducks
You can also BYO alcohol, but make sure your driver has the soft drink or water.

Eat on the deck
They cater for groups too, so give them a call to book before you set out. Call them on (07) 5496 4332 or visit their
website here to book.

The New Bar
There's some art/craft to explore or purchase, and I recommend you check out the new bar area, which is carved by a local artist. Amazing - quite an attraction for those who love timber.

Music Hut
You can also check their Facebook page
here.
Make a day of it and escape the city. You'll be glad you did.
