Ahoy, mateys! Let's face it, at some point, everyone has wanted to be a pirate. And this is the chance to have a dream come true, for you and your kids too. Cruising along on the Eastern Foreshore of Mandurah, the
Pirate Cruise ship sets sail for 45 minutes and you and your kids get the chance to even play around with the ship as you sail along.
During the cruise, you get the chance to ring the bell, you get to take photos behind the wheel as well. You might even get to see some bottle-nosed dolphins in the wild. This can't be guaranteed, as these wild animals obviously can't be forced to appear on queue no matter how nicely they are asked.
As you cruise along, past the beautiful houses on the Mandurah canals, you will also have the chance to shoot real water cannons. Unfortunately, there won't be a showdown between you and another boat. Dressing as your favourite pirate is encouraged. There are so many to choose from to. Blackbeard is a classic as is Captain Jack Sparrow, of course. Or you can be your own pirate instead and make a name for yourself on the wild seas.
Make sure to bring sunscreen and a hat if possible. And if you want to dress up you can. After all, pirates all wear hats so that works, right? Sunglasses are also encouraged as the glare from the water sometimes is a bit strong. It is an open air boat so it can also get a bit chilly sometimes. Prams are not able to fit on the boat. Make sure to bring a camera or phone as well, there are so many things to take photos of.
Cruises are 45 minutes long and depart on the hour. If you want to bring food and snacks, you are welcome to do so. They are open every day until April 30th, and then after that, they are only open on the weekends. Tickets do sell out fast, so book online before the day to avoid disappointment. Adults are $24, kids are $12.
