Ortigia's baroque Piazza Duomo is the centre of the tiny island, is by day a magnificent spce full of baroque marble and sandstone palazzo and cathedrals (duomo) of the grandest scale - some built on the foundations of 3000 year old ancient Greek temples. By night it has glamour and intrigue at every turn.
