I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.

Ghost Who Walks Can Never Die
The Ghost Who Walks has returned to Newcastle Art Gallery to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The Newcastle Art Gallery was the first purpose built regional art gallery in Australia opening in March 1977. In September of that year an exhibition that celebrated the long running Phantom comics was curated there.

The distinctive colours

This exhibition is fun and irreverent and appeals to all age groups. Works from over 50 artists are shown, many of the pieces have been made particularly for the show and local artists are well represented. It is curated by Peter Kingston & Dietmar Lederwasch and contains a variety of items including lithographs, paintings and sculptures.

There is an area set aside for children to become involved by creating their own version of The Phantom comic. A drumming workshop inspired by The Phantom Show was held at the gallery on June 17.

Not just a comic strip

The Phantom Show is an exhibition with a difference and is guaranteed to bring a smile to the faces of those who have fond childhood memories of The Ghost Who Walks and company.
