- they're serving up pancakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Prices are reasonable enough, $8 a serving, which will definitely be enough for the kids. The bigger kids however may be enticed to order two different types of pancakes, and may indeed be able to finish both.

Surprisingly more of my favourites were from the savoury side of the menu. Savoury pancakes, I was curious. The menu offers a wide enough variety of different types of pancake fillings. I'd recommend trying out the savoury side of the menu, this coming from a sweet-toothed person! The gamble paid off, with the discovery of Bruschetta Pancakes and RC Korean Pancakes. The bruschetta pancakes were an interesting mix of fresh tomato, red onion and cheese, that worked astoundingly well. The RC Korean pancakes had a very similar combination of ingredients, but were served with some sort of Japanese mayo that made them even better.

However, the sweet pancakes cannot be overlooked. They offer a variety of pancakes for the sweet-toothed pancake lover, including rocky road, cookies and cream, chocolate mint, banana, banana walnut and maple syrup. The hands-down dessert favourite amongst my diners, on more than one occasion, was the cookies and cream, featuring crumbled chunks of Oreo-esque cookies and a salivating scoop of ice cream.

Every time we've visited it's been very, very quiet. Supposedly you're able to make bookings, but any time I'd been it would have been pointless. Rumour has it that at other times it can be busy though. The owner however is very friendly and hospitable.

It's very simple on the inside, but I love the pancakes so much that I actually don't care. Everything is served in disposable dishes. I'm talking about plastic plates and cutlery, soft drinks are served straight out of the can and the milkshakes are served in take-away cups. I'm sure the kids love it, it's like being on a picnic indoors! But more than one of us raised the point that it would be a scary thought to think of the waste created by all the plastic thrown away at the end of the night. But then again, we're not offering to wash the dishes either.

The only consideration – only accept cash.

is open between Thursday and Sundays, between 10am and 6pm. Located at: 168 Great Eastern Highway, Guildford, WA, 6055.
