The Other Art Fair is coming from the UK to Sydney once again.
From 27-30 October you can meet and buy art direct from over 80 of the very best emerging artists. This amazing Art Fair will be held at one of Sydney's newest Art and cultural hubs,
COMMUNE . Commune was founded 4 years ago in Newtown, and now it is located in a 100-year-old Warehouse in Waterloo. The perfect location for this year's fair. In this space, art lovers will enjoy a specially curated and distinctive programme allowing them to connect directly with new talented artists.
The artists are selected and hand-picked by a committee of art industry experts;
Ben Quilty (artist), Roslyn Oxley (Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery), Amanda Love (art consultant) and Leif Podhajsky (artist).
Check out last year's fair.
The public programme will include a VIP opening party, workshops, and specially crafted free activities for children. Check out the
full fair programme.
During the fair, there will be food and beverage options available including refreshments from
Young Henrys, Archie Rose and the Urban Winery. If you prefer caffeine, you can enjoy a brew from
Espresso Di Manfredi. Finish off with some sweets from
Black Pantry. Munch away with handcrafted marshmallows and create them yourself at the toasting stations.
To add to this distinctive Art Fair there will be a live tattoo
competition with
Rhys Gordon from Little Tokyo and a surprise guest artist. Only four lucky winners in the competition will have live art works tattooed by Rhys and the Guest Artist. This approach is set to change your view of traditional contemporary art.
