It was going to be a scorcher of a day, so I had brought an umbrella to shade me as I walked in search of The Organic Circle. I ventured through Minnawarra Park craning my neck as I watched flocks of galahs swoop overhead.

It was only 10am but the sun was already having an affect on me. Thankfully, as I entered The Organic Circle I was blasted by a glorious air conditioner, and greeted by a friendly welcome from behind the counter. I had skipped breakfast because I wanted to try what they had on offer. After a look at all the delicious raw treats in the cabinet I was given a menu to peruse, from which I chose the Chia bowl ($15) and, of course, a soy flat white ($5) because I needed a pick me up, the sun had drained my energy.

The store had a large selection of organic products for every occasion and room in the house. The dining area had lovely wooden tables and a cosy couch area that was occupied by an adorable toddler and his mother. It wasn't long before my coffee came out with a lovely design on the top. It was a rich and smooth drop which I thoroughly enjoyed.

The music playing brought back nice memories from my youth and the other customers spoke at a considerate volume. There was a lovely cosy atmosphere, but it was not a very bright space. Breakfast looked colourful and filling. There was a generous amount of chia which had a very gummy texture. The fresh fruit seemed to have been pre-cut as some pieces of pear & apple had brown edges, but there was a nice variety, although I would have loved more date and mango. It was indeed a very filling dish and I took my time savouring the different textures and flavours.

I had seen a "Dandy Latte" on the menu the night before and looked it up out of curiosity. Made from the root of the dandelion plant, it serves as a caffeine free coffee substitute that is full of nutrients. Well I couldn't leave without trying it! So I grabbed a takeaway soy dandy latte ($5.20) as I ventured back out into the heat of the day. It had a nutty, herbal flavour with a slight bitterness. It had similar aspects to coffee, but definitely a new taste. I enjoyed it.

The Organic Circle is a bit out of the way (especially if you don't have a car) but it provides health inclined people of the area with a haven filled with everything they could need. Do pop in if you're ever down in Armadale, just to try something different.
