Pinkies in the air ladies for this High Tea Experience
As you are escorted to the back of the restaurant for your high tea experience, you are immediately transformed into someone who will want to put their pinky in the air as soon as they hold the delicate floral china cups.
Once seated, you notice the beauty of the mismatched settings and the display of cups and saucers, teapots and cake stands.
The table service arrives in the room as more guests are seated for the first sitting. For our booking that day, we were offered and enjoyed a sparkling wine. Coffee is available for those needing something a little stronger than the assorted tea offerings.
As the tower of sweet and savoury treats arrives, you have to control yourself not to grab one of everything before it even touches the table.
On this particular occasion we were greeted with some traditional and non traditional high tea items. Assorted sandwiches and scones with jam and cream accompanied a duck and a prawn amuse-bouche. Petite desserts and macarons garnished the top tier. Such a tough decision is faced...what to have first!
Fortunate to have a voucher for this experience today, we left there feeling satisfied and eager to return...with our pinkies in the air.
Myself and 3 friends have had the pleasure of the orchid garden tea room , it was a great day . The food was delicious . The room is delightful . We went their to celebrate a birthday and also had a voucher which made it more economical . I highly recommend it .
