Cider lovers in Adelaide have been somewhat overlooked in the flurry of food festivals that we get over summer, but that's about to change on the Australia Day long weekend.
The free Orchard Cider Festival hits town in Adelaide's Hindmarsh Square on Saturday January 25, bringing you a selection of ciders, fab food trucks, and artists playing original live music throughout the afternoon.
While the line-up of cider sellers is still being settled at time of writing, The Orchard will definitely bring you ciders from
Aussie Cider ,
The Hills Cider Company , Pipsqueak and James Squires.
Of course while ciders are healthy, tasty and high in vitamin C, it's wise not to make a meal of them. With this in mind will also bring you some of SA's most popular food trucks including
Chimichurri Grill ,
Wienerbago , Delectaballs, Gan Taiwanese Nuggets, and Party in a Box with a choice of both savoury and sweet food from Brazil.
If you would rather have a wine with your food then don't despair - the bus from Spook Hill Wines will transport you away in ecstasy with their selection of wines.
The emphasis on live entertainment during the afternoon is on original local music, and The Orchard will be hosting some of Adelaide's better known performers including Samantha Edge, Gilding, Sean Kemp, Mr Goodnight, Hi Speed Life, Iron Empire, and DJ Mad Mantis.
Hindmarsh Square is a great venue for as it's so central, close to the shopping district, and with lush shady green lawns that are perfect on a warm summer day - perhaps why
Fork on the Road and other food trucks use the park regularly too.

After you have been to you may want to revise your answer to
this question . And if you have any leftovers that went sour, don't despair because there are uses for
cider vinegar too!
