The Adelaide Festival Centre presents Meryl Tankard's 'The Oracle'. Paul White is one of Australia's most acclaimed dancers and he is 'The Oracle'. Performing at The Dunstan Playhouse from August 20th-23rd is his 55 minute dance piece.

Choreographed by one of Australia's most iconic directors Meryl Tankard 'The Oracle' is set to the infamous ballet 'The Rite of Spring'. A ballet by Russian composer Igor Stravinsky. It was written in 1913 and considered to be the most influential musical work of the 20th century.

The performance uses dance to explore the conflicting forces of nature and man, masculinity and femininity, violence and nurturing and strength and vulnerability. Having previously performed in USA, Switzerland and France and received rave reviews this show is not to be missed.

The show received awards at the '2010 Australian Dance Awards' for 'Best Choreography' and 'Outstanding Performance' by a male dancer.
