If you are anything like me and enjoy a good walk - I'm talking sweeping views of the Gold Coast, a non-judgmental community and refreshing winds, so you don't sweat and start to look like a walking waterfall, then The Observatory is it.

I live at Reedy Creek and The Observatory is only a 5 minute drive from my house. I am there a lot, walking up a pavement storm… sometimes even running (if I have had KFC the night before). I can't recommend this place enough. It's peaceful and a perfect place to catch up with friends, while getting fit. The best part about The Observatory isn't just the beautiful views of the Gold Coast or the wonderfully designed houses, but the fact they have over 15kms of walking trails through the bushland, filled with wildlife if you are feeling a bit adventurous.

Own a dog? Well then you are in for a treat, as The Observatory has a large dog park, which is fenced with seats for you to sit on and watch your dog socialise and run about. The Observatory is even prettier at night. I often drive up with some girlfriends, find a good place to park and eat take away food, while we take it all in. You couldn't find a restaurant on the Gold Coast, with a better view.

They have BBQ facilities at the Observatory Park, which hits the spot on a summer's afternoon. I have been visiting the place for over two years, a few times a week and I'm still not sick of it. I find a new walking path to explore every time. Now ladies and gents get off that computer chair and go for a walk.
