See this wonderful story, loosely based on the E.T.A Hoffmann fantasy story, 'The Nutcracker and the Mouse King', presented by the Australian Chamber Orchestra this December. At 40 minutes in length, this ballet is recommended for children aged 2 - 8 with children under 2 years free (sitting on their parent's lap).

This version of The Nutcracker is a great introduction to live classical music and ballet for young children. They will delight in the story of a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and wages a battle against the evil Mouse King. Clara, the girl, is in an enchanted dreamland as she befriends the Nutcracker. They go on a magical Christmas Eve journey in this new rendition from the Australian Chamber Orchestra - ACO Families production.

Former Artistic Director of The Australian Ballet, David McAllister, brings this clever adaptation of this beloved ballet with music and dance. The theatre this ballet is being presented in is an immersive experience for young audiences.
