The Story of The Nutcracker
With children clearly in mind, The Nutcracker is a magical, whimsical classic festive tale where a girl, named Clara, befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and wages a battle against the evil Mouse King. Watch the dancers jump and turn in sparkling costumes as the "toys awaken, and soldiers and mice frolic and play" as they encounter characters such as the Snow Queen, Prince, and whimsical Sugar Plum Fairy,

Children's Ballet Workshops
Along with the professional performance, the company will also be holding
The Nutcracker Children's Workshops from 14 to 22 December 2024.
The workshops will cater for two age brackets:
For the very young, the two to five-year-old workshop will see children learn about the story, characters, music, and choreography that is seen in the live ballet. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children.
For those a little older, the 6 to 12-year-old workshop will provide participants with the chance to do a short ballet class using music inspired by
The Nutcracker.
The workshops will be held at the
Thomas Dixon Centre , 406 Montague Rd, West End QLD 4101, Australia. The cost of workshop are $25 for 2 to 5-year-olds and $30 for 6 to 12-year-olds.
