Open Gardens Victoria is holding an Autumn event at Monbulk, in the delightful Dandenong Ranges, for garden and flower enthusiasts. The Nook is a charming cottage garden, full of splendid colour and meandering paths, to spend a relaxing and inspired weekend.



It has a romantic style and is set against the backdrop of stunning, giant chestnut trees. Each season offers something different.This autumn opening will feature salvias and other late perennials, intermingled with beautiful roses, hydrangeas and sasanqua camellias.

There is also a secret garden, and a rock garden filled with treasures, for the kids - both big and small!

One of the owners was a contemporary and fellow horticulturalist of Edna Walling. The planting of silver birches near the entrance pays homage to her work. The garden was featured in Gardening Australia in 2010.
