I just have to share this with you. If you're into that Christmas shopping frenzy and feel you need time out - just pop, literally around the corner from the Sunshine Plaza, and you'll find
The Nines Emporium.

Recently voted one of the six Sunshine Coast's favourite breakfast outlets by Sunshine Coast Daily, we discovered an extremely popular cafe-style outlet, offering food, coffee, waffles, loaded shakes, death by chocolate, bar facilities, and everything in between. You'll soon sit up and take note at the indulgences that come out of their kitchen - creative, decadent, exceptional and….if looks could kill, these would be killers.

Our lunch choices, decidedly simplistic in comparison - Image: Elaine de Wet
Hubby and I were between stops, so felt we needed some time-out and came across The Nines Emporium in the Homemaker Centre, Maroochydore. Parking was easy as the Centre itself has a multitude of other outlets, including a gym - I added this in just in case you need to work off any of those hidden calories after indulging at The Nines Emporium. We had a choice of indoor or outdoor seating, my preference always being the outdoors - one always needs a little extra Vitamin D.
I wasn't ravenous so selected an Apple Muffin and hubby had the Ham and Cheese Croissant with Iced Lattes - no cream. Our food was fresh and delicious, even in its simplicity. A tang of envy came over me when I saw what other diners had pre-ordered:

The 'Little' Mexican Burger - Image: The Nines Emporium FB page
A 'Little Mexican Burger - slow cooked Mexican pulled pork, corn chips, avocado, cheddar cheese, sour cream and crispy lettuce, served with chips' - this is a special that The Nines is presently running at only $16.50, and believe me, this is definitely
not a 'little' burger; or how about:-

A waffle?
As you can imagine once I discovered these divine treats, I was feeling as if my lunch order was decidedly 'under-dressed'.

The Nines Emporium are open seven days a week from 7.00am to 4.00pm, their kitchen closes every day at 3.00pm though coffee, cake and pre-made sandwiches are available until their closing time.
Looking for a special venue? The Nines Emporium is available for venue hire for functions and parties from 5.00pm until midnight as they have a full cafe license to accommodate until the cinderella hour.
Adjectives elude me when it comes to The Nines Emporium - everything just looked so very more-ish and a return trip is definitely on the cards for me! I
HAVE to try one of those loaded milkshakes.
