Enjoy the spring weather and walk and along the Brisbane River.

To start the International Brain Tumour Alliance's Awareness Week , the not-for-profit organisation Newro Foundation has organised Newro Foundation Brain Tumour Awareness Walk for Sunday 27 October 2013.

The Newro Foundation is a registered charity who support the research in neurology, neurosurgery, spinal surgery and the neurosciences. They believe that research is crucial and that research produces infinite possibilities and because of this belief, they have made many people's dreams come true. It is through their research and clinical trials, that they aim to develop new treatments and enhance the current care of patients in order for them to recover quickly.

This year's race starts and finishes at New Farm Park. The 5km walk and run begins at 9.30am so make sure you allow plenty of time before that for registration. After your walk, take some time to chill out at New Farm Park, stick around for the sausage sizzle, and enjoy some entertainment while you're there. It sounds like the perfect day!

There will be prizes for crossing that finishing line first for adults and under 15's. And don't forget to put on your best orange costume for your chance to win that fabulous prize. So get your tickets here and register as an individual or family which also includes a stylish t-shirt and cap.

It's a short walk, great way to soak up some sun, and enjoy the beautiful surrounds of New Farm Park.
