Classic children's movies appear to be making a big screen comeback lately, as seen with the Palace Cinema's latest offerings.
Village Cinemas are getting in on some cult kid classic movie action too, after putting a call out to their fans to vote for their favourite 80s kids movie to be shown in participating movie theatres for one night only. Fans voted for The NeverEnding Story, the tale of a boy who dives into a wondrous fantasy world through the pages of a mysterious book.
The award-winning 1984 West German epic fantasy film, based on the novel of the same name, will be shown on Wednesday 2nd October at 7pm at the following Village Cinemas: Fountain Gate, Hobart, Jam Factory, Knox, Southland, and Sunshine.
Village Cinemas are charging a very reasonable $9 each per movie ticket, which can be booked online here.
A one-off opportunity to enjoy a classic family adventure movie shown just the way it should to be; on the big screen.
