I love my jewellery. I am also lucky enough to have travelled to Coober Pedy, the heart of opal country, many years ago. The opal collection is worth going to if you don't have sufficient time to get off the beaten track to the heart of opal country. It is a short walk from Circular Quay on Pitt Street.

It is free entry. The exhibition is small but interesting. The exhibitors seemed to have overlooked that there are dinosaur prints in Australia that are millennia old. Aside from overlooking this, the exhibition is short, quick and easy for adults and kids to understand. You could comfortably see the exhibition within the space of 20-30 minutes. They have a short film you can see as well.

Then you can go to the shop and spend spend spend. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They have opal rings, opal earrings, opal pendants and a whole lot more. Something for every taste and budget.

A good destination for young and old.
