Locals know that Montreal has a vibrant street art scene, but does the rest of the world know it? Enter the International MURAL festival. After last summer's successful run, the Main's outdoor event returns for its second edition.
From June 12th to 15th, a portion of Saint Laurent Boulevard is due to become a pedestrian-only zone inundated with large murals, exhibitions, installations, sculptures, live music, and more.
The public art festival's mission is simple: To commemorate and democratize graffiti and urban art. Referred to as an "open-air museum," these murals will be on display free of charge and available to all.
Featured artists will range from local, to national, and international talent as they plan to create a total of 20 live murals for audience members composed of street art admirers and pedestrians enjoying the outdoor festivities.
Keep an eye out for creations by: Kashink, 123 Klan, Nunca, Inti, Bezt de Etam Cru, Cyrcle, 2501, Alexis Diaz, Seth, Vilx, Le Diamantaire, Zilon, Scan, Zema, Fred Caron, Zoltan, Kevin Ledo, Bryan Beyung, Miss Me, Stikki Peaches, Mathieu Connery, Alex Produkt, and Éric Clément.
