The Mrs. Frollein Collection: Small Hours by Valerie Minelli is a collection of heartfelt comics that celebrate the beauty of small moments in daily life.

The simple, black and white images illustrate situations which many people will find relatable, especially if they've been in long term relationships. Most are sweet, though there is the odd dash of toilet humour to mix things up. Overall however, I found it refreshing how sincere they all seemed, in a world full of cynicism.

Small Hours is a cute, feel-good little collection of cartoons. If you like this, you might also enjoy Catana Chetwynd's Snug, Our Super Adventure by Sarah Graley, or Chibird's Loading Penguin Hugs.

Disclaimer: I was given a complimentary copy of this book by Oni Press, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.
