I am a world traveller & a mom of two, (8 & 6). I love to meet people, and am fascinated that there are 7 billion stories out there to be explored. I think Melbourne is the most happening city to live in with all the fun activities around town.
Special Festival for the Culturally Aware
Festivals come in all shapes, flavours, colours and sizes. Some bring out the best of what our multicultural city of Melbourne is all about. Mosaic Festival is one that celebrates the different cultures with a special emphasis on the importance of women's participation. It is organized by the Victorian Immigrant & Refugee Women's Coalition (VIRWC), which is a peak body that represents immigrant refugee women's organisations across Victoria with the aim of supporting and developing them.
The Mosaic Festival is being held for the third year in a row, on Sunday 26 April 2015 in the City Square. The special emphasis of the festival is to celebrate the women in Multicultural Victoria. Activities will include singing and dancing performances, storytelling, stalls, cultural dresses and activities, and lots more. No festival can be complete without the offerings to the culinary gods, and all visitors can expect their palates to be satiated by savoury dishes from around the world. Entry to the event is free.
