The Moon Café in Northbridge is a great place to visit if you are looking for something to do on a Wednesday night. For most places, Wednesday is a slow night - and some may not even bother opening at all. However, The Moon Café offers a twist to "hump day". Every night at 8pm, there is live music playing in the courtyard.

The eclectic decor in the courtyard lends itself very well to stripped down, intimate performances. The lineup for Wednesday nights tend to be unpredictable. Amongst the usual cast of folksy singer-songwriters, you may also get electronica artists playing a subdued set, or a stripped down rock band, or even Irish folk.

The food at The Moon is great - large servings and done very well. It's great to kick back with a pizza and milkshake, while listening to some of Perth's music talent.
