Did you know that plants can communicate through sound and smell? And that they can learn to do things despite not having a brain? Plants are lot smarter than people give them credit for. They even have memories.

If you are fascinated with plants and want to learn more about them, the City of Gosnells will be hosting a free workshop for adults on Wednesday the 16th of August 2017 from 12pm to 1pm called The Mind of Plants.

Dr Monica Gagliano from the University of Western Australia will be running the class. Dr Monica Gagliano has a PhD in Marine Ecology and a background in Marine Biology and Marine and Fisheries Science. She has published numerous articles about plant cognitive ecology, sentience, cognition, perception, communication, learning and memory, choice behaviour, decision making and consciousness.

If you want to learn about the secret language of plants, you can make a booking for this class by emailing [email protected] or by ringing the Knowledge Centre on 9391 6000.
