It's a mill, but you won't be milling
The Camperdown Mill self-contained apartments are advertised as unique, historic and luxurious; and they are.

The street sign showing the mills past heritage.

- Unique, as the complex is based on a former flour mill.
Historic, as much of the mill structure is retained and converted into spacious accommodation.

- and Luxurious, as most of the apartments have a spa included, and all rooms are extremely spacious.

It's a short step from bed to spa.

The 1868 renovated mill buildings boast rooms with balconies with an avenue of oak views, mezzanine and attic bedrooms, private roof terraces and wide verandas, all nestled in an elegant garden setting.

All eleven apartments are named in keeping with the locality and their mill heritage. Among them are the Sir Chester Manifold penthouse suite, Purrumbete Gatehouse, Owers Millhouse, Wrights Cottage, Sugarloaf Mews and The Vicarage.

A generous continental breakfast is provided in the tariff. Apart from the usual cereals, toast and orange juice, eggs, cheese, and containers of two fruits are also provided.

The range of breakfast cereals provided.

Additional breakfast items in the 'fridge.

All apartments are equipped for short or long stays. Full kitchen and cooking facilities (hot plates, microwave and dishwasher) are in all apartments. Washing machine and dryer as well as ironing facilities are also provided.

A good view of the spacious apartments.

On the entertainment front, apart from two TV sets in some rooms free wireless broadband internet and Austar are available.

The overnight rates start at $160 for two people and compares favourably with nearby motels if you factor breakfast into their cost.

The reception for The Mill is at the nearby Commercial Hotel at 115 Manifold Street (Princes Highway) on the corner of the Camperdown Cobden Road. Phone (03)5593 2996.

Over the past few years we have stayed at The Mill many times and it is definitely the place to stay in Camperdown.
