Julie Andrews it's not - but swinging 1960s music it sure is. And 11-piece R&B band The Milford Street Shakers will certainly be bringing the Hills alive with their concert under the stars at the Parkerville Tavern on Saturday, March 6.

At previous performances at the popular Hills venue, The Milford Street Shakers have played to capacity crowds, with audiences up and dancing to the vibrant Motown 60s music.
They are set to do it all again on Saturday, March 6, from 7pm to 10pm delivering their own high-energy take on classics like
Stop! In The Name of Love, Dancing In The Street and
Ain't No Mountain High Enough.
Playing some of the most soulful American music of all time the band delivers a compelling sound that has audiences on their feet with the big Soul sounds of musicians like Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, James Brown and Etta James.

The beautiful outdoor stage at the Parkerville.
Bandleader and drummer Dom D'Leno says the picturesque pub is one of the band's favourite venues with its beautiful lawns surrounded by the forest.
He says it has a great vibe and is a magical setting that reverberates with the beautiful blues music the band loves.
At past concerts at the Parkerville, people are up on the grass and dancing almost as soon as the first chords are struck, which is something the band really loves.

Having fun with the Milford Street Shakers.
This will be the first appearance for new lead vocalist, Perth-born Mia Matthiessen at the Perth Hills venue, but it will be an ideal place to showcase her captivating, vibrant style.
The band features James Vinciullo on bass, Dominic D'Leno on drums, Imogen Thomson on percussion, Andy Jarvis on guitar, Austin Salisbury on keyboards, Robert Bresland on trumpet, Mark Sprogowski on tenor sax, Jemima Mills on baritone sax and backing vocalists Taonga Thomson-Lawrence and Roera Mako.
