Executive Chef Garen Maskal (The Black Toro and Sezar) will be cranking up the heat and taking you through a hands-on cooking class 'The Middle Eastern Grill' at The Essential Ingredient in Prahran on Saturday November 12.
Garen will be demonstrating the correct use of various Middle Eastern spices such as sumac, cinnamon, turmeric and baharat and how they can be best utilised to create the most delicious summer barbecue dishes.
Garen will fire up the barbeque and show you how to create some traditional (and contemporary) marinades, rubs and pastes to enhance meats such as lamb, chicken and beef as well as kofta and kebabs.
And yes, you'll be able to eat during this class too! Tickets are $195 per head.
