A place for kids to be messy, creative little artists

All kids love getting messy - this is a fact. Parents hate having to clean up. Also a fact.

That is where The Messy Shed in Tyabb, provides the ultimate solution.

As the name implies, it is literally a large (heated) shed, offering all the squishy, slimy, grainy, messy magic that kids love; it is an overload of sensory, imaginative joy!

There are plenty of tactile things to paint, spray, stick, squeeze, glue, fish, poke, stack and create.

The entry cost is $10, for which children get to spend 45 minutes of uninterrupted glorious mayhem, that they won't get into trouble for.

They also get to take home their many masterpieces.

The best part of all is, apart from a quick sweep up, you don't have to clean up their messy creative residue. Except for their clothes, that will unmistakably get some form of slimy mess on it, even with the provided apron, it is inevitable.

A good tip would be to make sure you wear old, dark clothes.

The Messy Shed is conveniently located alongside the fabulous Hungry Peacock Cafe.
Which makes for a terrific few hours of parents being able to enjoy their coffee - hot, whilst the kids have a ball playing with all of the amazing activities.

If you haven't visited yet - what are you waiting for?

Your Comment
What an awesome place. I love to see kids being kids, actually doing, feeling, exploring and experiencing. These things are so important.
