Looking for somewhere to go for 'date night', a girly night or just a drink after work with friends? Then 'The Mayor', in Cremorne could be just the place for you.

The Mayor is a relatively new, trendy bar and restaurant, with a great vibe. If you are going for dinner then you can either choose to sit inside, or outside on the deck. My preference is outside, especially in Summer. It's a good idea to book though as it is usually busy on a Friday and Saturday night.

The food is definitely not your typical pub grub. My recommendation is the "Crackling pork belly with scallop colcannon and apple vincotto". Despite having to confirm with the very helpful waitress what colcannon meant, it was delicious, especially the colcannon. For those of a curious nature, colcannon is a traditional Irish dish mainly consisting of mashed potatoes with kale or cabbage…so essentially mashed potatoes.



The dessert menu is definitely worth saving some room for... especially the "Chocolate fondue with fresh strawberries and marshmallows". Possibly meant for sharing, but if you love chocolate, a whole one to yourself is perfectly acceptable and don't worry, it has been done before.
