A sustainable market with great atmosphere
Just off King William Street in beautiful sunny Adelaide, in a little tucked away alley, lies a shed. But this is no ordinary shed, for every Sunday from 9am to 2pm it hosts an array of colours, textures, aromas and tastes that are so unique, wholesome, made with so much love and few to no chemicals. It will transform you into a vegetable eating gypsy, a tea connoisseur, a world cuisine wanderer and a lover of all things sustainable. It is known as "The Market Shed".
The large warehouse stocks organic, seasonal, local and sustainable products, which are of course ethically produced, handmade and unique.
What sets "The Market Shed" apart from other markets, is the fact that the space has been chosen carefully. It is central to Adelaide and close by suburbs. All stallholders sell products that are true and loyal to sustainable practices in one way or the other. It is such a lively space where you can eat, drink, shop, taste the produce and look at beautiful crafts. It is a great spot to hang out with friends, have a family outing or a little date.
This market is also particularly popular for gluten free, vegan and vegetarian foods, world cuisines and gourmet products, gluten free bread, paella, seeds, artisan teas, freshly made pizzas, gourmet cheese, local wines, chocolate, juices and smoothies, spices and locally brewed beer and cider!
If you are not much into the eating and drinking, The Market Shed hosts live entertainment, arts and crafts stalls, flowers and plants.
Whatever the reason is, to save the planet, support your local community or to simply enjoy a nice cup of coffee, head to The Market Shed on Sundays and enjoy the fruits of this earth, the way they are meant to be!
