As Bowie's first feature film role, THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH marked him as a true multi-disciplinary talent with the film credited as launching his Thin White Duke character.
A staple of the independent arthouse cinema movement for years, this enigmatic film has lost nothing in its stylistic flourishes and individuality and remains as beguiling as ever despite the years passed since its release.
A very special selection of David Bowie photographs will also be on display at The Backlot Perth to coincide with the screenings. The images, taken by the legendary Terry O'Neill, feature Bowie at his iconic best.
On Sunday 5 February the Menagerie Choir will perform a medley of Bowie songs as a warm-up for their own performance at the Fringe World Festival.
THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH will screen at The Backlot Perth in West Perth on 5, 11 and 12 February. Tickets are available through the Fringe World website at www.fringeworld.com.au
