Culture Scouts is running The Malt District Cremorne Tours for a few Saturdays in August and September to celebrate the launch of The Malt District, a new urban precinct that will see Cremorne's landmark silos and iconic Nylex Clock reutilised and revitalised.

Discover more about the suburbs and locals' history by exploring its streets edged in street art and visiting its beautifully designed spaces and stores.

A walking tour company from Sydney, Culture Scouts curates tours that highlight cultural hubs' hotspots and gems; providing an experience that blends art, food and guided conversations. It has specially curated The Malt District Cremone Tour to accentuate Cremorne's fascinating history, alongside its burgeoning art and culinary scenes.

While walking the streets, the tour takes you past an historic mural depicting the suburb's past, as well as some of the latest work by street artists like Lushsux. From iconic, heritage signs like the Nylex Clock and Slade Knitwear sign to modern art galleries, you are shown the best-kept secrets of the suburb.

The amount of freebies and samples you get to enjoy on the day make the small tour fee more than worth it. Only $20 for students and $30 for adults, the tour includes a coffee, snacks and samples from the suburb's noteworthy stores and bars like Pana Chocolate and The Ugly Duckling Cocktail and Wine Bar.

The next three Saturdays - Saturday 26 August, Saturday 2 September and Saturday 9 September - are the last three Saturdays to take advantage of this tremendous tour. It's such a great way to explore the suburb and discover a few new favourites!
