HYPH-N
Pictured here are
OMG SeaGlass Designs . Kirsty is the creative force behind the label and personally, hand collects each piece of sea glass from the beaches of the Mornington Peninsula, ensuring an ethical and sustainable approach. Using Australian-sourced recycled solid silver and gold, Kirsty creates bespoke, one-of-a-kind pieces that embody the principles of slow fashion and thoughtful craftsmanship. This is Kirsty's first time joining the market in Melbourne, and she'll be hosting two of the workshops -
Sea Glass Jewellery Workshop on the Saturday, and
Sea Glass Art Workshop on the Sunday.
Another newbie to Melbourne, maker and shaker, Anaïs Lobmeyer is a French artist and designer who traded baguettes for barbecues when she made Melbourne her home in 2019. Her passion for all things bright, bold, colourful, and audacious inspired her to launch
Release The Zebra, her branding and design studio, in 2021. In 2024, she kicked off
Funky Zebra Studio a vibrant side project where she could let her creativity run wild and experiment with fun, colourful designs on a more personal level. It offers hand-painted wooden jewellery with designs that draw inspiration from the 80s. Anaïs is also hosting a
Paint Your Own Funky Earrings Workshop on the Sunday, where you'll design, paint, and assemble your own bold and colourful wooden earrings. Plus, an exclusive discount at the Funky Zebra Studio stall is on offer after the workshop. Follow given links for both creatives to book into their workshops.
Noble Bootleggers Distilling Co
Another newbie to look forward to is
HYPH-N . Established in 2019, it spawned from a frustration with the fashion industry's disposability and mass consumerism. The label aims to disrupt the status quo by merging sustainability with edgy, timeless designs. The brand focuses on zero-waste pattern cutting, modern silhouettes, and encourages thoughtful consumption. Each piece is meticulously crafted from rescued dead-stock and natural fabrics, challenging conventional fashion norms and promoting longevity. The designs are produced in strictly limited runs and built to last for a waste-less fashion and sustainable future. The label blend authenticity and sophistication while minimising environmental impact. Definitely a future-forward design protocol worth our support.
Newbies to discover galore,
Noble Bootleggers Distilling Co is another. It's a family-owned and operated distillery and regenerative farm located on the outskirts of Bendigo. Passionate about crafting bold and unique flavours, the distillery specialises in Australian Amaros, gins, whisky, and cocktails. As a small, fiercely independent
Mum and Dad operation, they take pride in creating products with distinctive flavour profiles, inspiring customers to explore new drink possibilities. Strong emphasis is placed on customer experiences, whether through enjoying their products or connecting personally at events and farmers' markets, believing that every interaction is an opportunity to forge meaningful connections.
Last newbie featured here is
Cham Cham Sauce . A local Korean brand founded by a husband-and-wife team Jake is a professional chef with over 16 years of experience. Every sauce is handmade, ensuring the highest standards of taste and quality in each batch. The brand has won many awards and hearts, including 2nd place at the prestigious New York Hot Sauce Expo for their Hot Bae (Korean Pear Hot Sauce), and features in both ELLE Magazine Korea for its innovative role in bringing Korean flavours to Australian markets and in Gourmet Traveller as a 'Pantry Must-Have.' These accolades highlight the brand’s dedication to excellence and its success in offering a distinctive taste experience to consumers worldwide. These excellent examples of makers just highlights the high calibre of creatives to look forward to at the Market. Be sure to head in and discover the rest.
